Guiding Hope, Cameroon wins best new business award in Africa: Press Release SMME Award Winners Friday, 16 December 2011
The 2011 Africa Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise (SMME) Awards, an initiative of the Africagrowth Institute, in partnership with governments and major organizations has awarded Guiding Hope, a 2008 SEED Winner, the first prize for Best New Business Award Sponsored by Pioneer Foods.
Guiding Hope produces organic, fair-trade honey from the remote Adamoua savannah and aims to become Cameroon's largest exporter of high quality beeswax, as well as building an international market chain for the community-owned soap- and candle-making businesses.
Africagrowth Institute is an independent company with its headquarters in Cape Town, South Africa. The company focuses on growth opportunities in Africa and also houses the South African Graduate National Service Program. Read more here
