Komodo Water produces and sells water and ice blocks for fishermen, fish sellers, and tourist boats. They use efficient reverse osmosis machines and icemakers powered by solar technology. The company purifies brackish water of TDS 9000 ppm into water with drinking quality of TDS 11-13 ppm certified by National Health Department.

Their ice blocks last longer than normal ice packs, allowing fishermen to go fishing further from areas where they reside.

Komodo Water offers reliable drinking water and ice blocks to fishermen and coastal communities through a zero-carbon solar powered methodology.
  • Solving water scarcity for 2,000+ families and reducing infant and children deaths caused by contaminated water
  • Empowering the community by forming a mechanism they can participate in
  • Enhancing skills in maintenance of the machine and conducting community development activities
  • Reducing 1,000 plastic packs (per day) from water and ice packaging which mostly end up in the sea
  • Reducing diesel fuel consumption by 14,400 litres and avoiding 9,720 kg CO2 emission by switching to clean solar energy
