SEED National Dialogue Forum 2018 Uganda

Eco-inclusive enterprises are vivid examples of how the private sector plays a significant role in realising green and low-carbon economies. Already, we have seen how successful eco-inclusive enterprises are meeting local challenges around clean energy, climate-friendly agriculture, waste and recycling whilst at the same time raising living standards and creating new opportunities for local communities. Capitalising on this success and increasing the sector’s size and impact will require stakeholders to work together to ensure that critical needs such as tailored business development support and financing are addressed.

How do we promote, finance and replicate successful eco-inclusive business models to trigger action towards a green and low-carbon economy?

Join us at the

Uganda National Dialogue Forum
20 June 2018
Sheraton Kampala, Uganda

The event will bring together around 100 enterprises, financial institutions, policymakers and business development service providers to develop approaches and partnerships that capitalise on the success of eco-inclusive enterprises to increase the sector’s size and impact.

The event is part of the implementation of “Financing and capacity building for micro and small climate-smart enterprises: Filling the gap of the missing middle”, a project supported by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety via the International Climate Initiative (ICI) and of "Promoting Eco-Entrepreneurship in Africa", a SWITCH-Africa Green multicountry project in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa and Uganda.
