Sampangan

Creating a zero-waste world, where waste is converted into value
2021 SEED Low Carbon Award Winner Waste Management Serang, Indonesia

Sampangan’s waste processing machine is a modular system that uses heat radiation with low electricity usage and emits no emissions. They provide waste processing services to commercial clients and the government. Waste processed by their carbonised technology is transformed into solid activated carbon, liquid carbon, and liquid smoke.

They foster the circular economy by using outputs from waste processing into material useful for industries such as agriculture, healthcare or construction. Their customers include the municipal governments, the sustainable waste industry, and consumer brands.
