At SEED we are expanding our focus on regional capacity building by establishing collaboration centres that fortify partnerships and strengthen the presence and local ownership of SEED programmes in key areas around the globe. Our SEED South Africa and SEED Thailand Hubs are milestones in the delivery of customised enterprise support and the promotion of eco-inclusive entrepreneurship for sustainable development.
SEED South Africa
Our South Africa Hub is hosted by Indalo Inclusive South Africa NPC.
Building on several years of successful SEED work in South Africa since 2010, the launch of Indalo Inclusive is a milestone in providing direct support to South African enterprises and aspiring entrepreneurs. Indalo Inclusive was established and registered in South Africa as a non-profit company in November 2017, in its offices at the Innovation Hub in Pretoria. Indalo – which stands for “creation”, “nature” and “ecology” in isiZulu – implements SEED and other projects that strengthen a more environmentally friendly and socially inclusive economy in South Africa through capacity building, dialogue and policy consulting.
The establishment of Indalo Inclusive was facilitated through pro-bono legal support from SEED’s partner Hogan Lovells. The national programme is operated by SEED South Africa Coordinator Rest Kanju and SEED’s South Africa Liaison Officer Jona Liebl.

Our Thailand Hub is hosted by adelphi research gGmbH.
As part of the expansion of SEED activities in Asia, we established a presence in Bangkok, Thailand at the end of 2017. Eco-inclusive enterprises play a crucial role in Thailand’s economic landscape and operate in a variety of sectors across the country. SEED Thailand will cultivate a community of promising enterprises with positive environmental and social impacts on the region and incubate innovative climate finance instruments to the benefit of the wider Thai eco-inclusive enterprise network. Our SEED Thailand programme is led by Mirko Zürker.
